If you've met our "Dad of the Month" you will never forget him! Energetic and enthusiastic, Charles gets members to laugh even before the sun comes up--which most months out of the year is the hours when he volunteers at our front desk or comes in to do his daily Group Training. Congrats on being our June Member of the Month!
What made you want to join Rainier Health & Fitness?
The first thing that made me join was I've always been active but I've also been lazy. And there was no excuse for me not to take advantage of this because it's directly across the street from where I live so it's easily accessible.
What is your favorite thing about Group Training?
One of my favorite things about Group Training is, as a group, you get to become better. It's not just one person reaching a goal, but as a group--like when we have our challenges or whatever--we all seem to have one common goal and it makes it so much easier when we all have one purpose and we all strive for it. So I like seeing those faces when they come in in the morning at 5:30 dragging and then when they're leaving it's just a little drippity and they've got a smile! So I like Group Training because of the group. And also the trainers--Mike is awesome! I'm just giving you props.
What kind of results are you getting?
I can't show you that on camera, but I am getting GREAT results! I feel good, I feel more energetic, I'm making some healthier eating choices for me and my daughter so the results I'm getting is a better quality of life.
What are some of your favorite ways to get active with your daughter?
When I drag her to the gym, that's one thing, but she is a fan of ultimate frisbee which is making me a fan of ultimate frisbee. So the cardio that we get at the gym on the treadmills and then we go out and we execute that on the field--that's one of the things because fitness bonds you. You will be amazed how much you love and respect someone after you sweat with them.
What would you tell someone interested in joining but might feel intimidated?
Don't. We don't have a big Gold's Gym where people are dropping weights and clanging and banging and all that. Everyone there is approachable, the staff is so friendly, the people there are so helpful so the only thing that's stopping you from joining is you. You are you're biggest intimidator. RHF is a great place. Come on through, check us out, watch what we do, if you have questions, you can ask anyone. And have fun reaching whatever goals you might wanna reach, whether it be your Pilates class, whether it be your spin class, whether it be Group Training, whether it be Personal Training, we have something that caters to everyone.
