Give Food For Fitness

As we enter the holiday season, we want to encourage a spirit of thankfulness and generosity in our community so our November Special theme is Give Food for Fitness. We are teaming with our neighbors over at the Rainier Valley Food Bank to host a food drive here. For new members who donate a bag of food, we will thank them with a coupon for $20 off our initiation fee. And for those of you who are already members, you can pay it forward and collect a coupon for a friend! 

Below is the RVFB's list of healthy, non-perishable items they wish to collect. All foods should be non-perishable. They are most in need of high-protein, nutritious foods including:

  • Canned chicken, tuna and salmon
  • Beef stew, meat soups
  • Hearty soups
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Dry or canned beans (kidney, pinto, green, yellow, refried or black beans)
  • Peanut butter
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Pancake or baking mixes
  • Cereal and oatmeal
  • Granola bars or energy bars
  • Ensure or other nutritional supplement drinks
  • Baby food and formula

Due to health code requirements, the RVFB is unable to accept:

  • Damaged or unlabeled cans
  • Perishable items
  • Homemade items
  • Non-commercial canned or packaged items
  • Open or used items
