When did you start at RHF CrossFit?
I started RHF CrossFit the SECOND (ok, maybe within the first 5 minutes) it was offered!
What made you join?
As a child I had always wanted to lift cars, pull trains with my teeth, leap over tall building and have girls like me. Now that I am older and wiser, my goals have changed. I no longer have the same Superman goals as I did as a child.
I have been a member of RHF gym for nearly 5 years (on and off). I had my own (pretty good) workout routine, but it got to the point where my routine didn't challenge me anymore. I didn't have the knowledge or creativity to come up with anything better. I started loosing interest in going to the gym...I would rather stay home and watch a movie than go to the gym.
CrossFit brought me back to LIFE! Everyday is a new workout routine, its fun, challenging and keeps me accountable to my fitness goals.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
My favorite things about CrossFit are: The security of having a trained professional work with me to ensure my workout is done correctly; from correct form in lifting weights and stretching to encouraging me to push myself to the next level. I also love the results - I am stronger and more flexible.
What kind of results are you getting?
The results I see are improved endurance (cardio), all over toned muscle, explosive strength and improved flexibility.
What would you tell someone interested in joining but might be intimidated?
I would tell them to RUN FOR THEIR LIFE!!! SAVE YOURSELF! IT HURTS AND ITS SWEATY!!(just kidding)
But seriously folks... I would tell someone who is interested to DO IT! And commit to attending 5 classes before making a decision on whether CrossFit is right for you. One or two classes isn't enough to really get it.
You don't have to be in great shape to do it. It is up to you and you define the weight and limits of your workout. However, it is challenging and it will make you sweat and you will see results. If this is what you want, then RHF CrossFit is for you!
